Answer:

It’s not really fish that I’m into, it’s the sea or really water in general. To me water is something pure. I feel like being around it can bring an innocence to a person, like a cleanse and rebirth of sorts.

As for fish and sea life, I like it because it’s exotic to me; often seen with the use of bright strange colors and strange curvy shapes. It’s also an unknown to me, and what can lie deeper in the sea may never be discovered, just like the secrets of a person.

As for texture, I really just like anything gritty. Makes a painting feel more real with a bit of grit.
